I’ll take some nice brutalist architecture.
It ain’t all bad.
Just … a lot of it.
Brutalist architecture can be nice if it’s contrasting with some other architecture, if it’s all brutalist it gets overwhelming pretty fast.
The problem is that cheap style-less architecture is often called brutalist architecture, because it sounds more sophisticated than “eh we were too cheap to make it look nice”.
