They kidnapped her. Get it right.
Yeah but telegraph.co.uk
Israel’s military has been ordered to show Greta Thunberg footage of Hamas’s Oct 7 2023 attack on southern Israel.
Just straight up showing a teenager extremely awful footage as a form of brainwashing and propaganda.
The message is obvious. “If somebody hurts you, then any revenge is permissible, even against people whose only sin is living near them. Even if children are starving to death, it’s okay if it’s revenge.”
The lack of humanity in Israel’s actions is simply hard to comprehend.
They should show the part where they killed their own to prevent them from being captured.
She’s 22, but still.
It’s not like everyone is watching a straight-up genocide or anything.
Hey, look how much less bad this resistance is to our occupation!
Fuck zionists.
I’m not super up on the details of this situation, but they had to know this would be the outcome, right? This was just bait, to make a point?
Their goal was to get attention, to force the media and public to start talking about it, to force western governments to pretend to care about it, ratchet up the international pressure by another notch. They have done everything they need to be successful at that. Now that they’ve been seized, it’s our jobs to do what we can to make the rest of that happen.
The aid on the ship was symbolic. This was a protest action to call attention to Israel’s continued blockade of food and other aid into Gaza.
I don’t think they believed they would be kidnapped and detained in international waters, to be fair.
I think they did believe that was a strong possibility. I thought her video was a dead man’s switch release that she would prevent from going out if they made it out of international waters.
It was. The video was released as soon as they were taken off the boat.
I don’t know why. The USS Liberty incident proved that Israel does this sort of shit.
They’re a far right government.
To make a point that israel is effectly controlling and occupying gaza and to test the western governments
First of all, terrible. Second, that website is horrendous.
Is it not yet time for federated news?
