Omg, incredible. Not actually sure if this will please people or upset them, but the vibe I’ve gotten so far is if Colin Malloy fronted Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers. Any particular favorite treasures I should dig for first? Presently got Grace, Too, Wheat Kings, and Blow at High Dough on heavy repeat.
If you haven’t yet, watch Long Time Running. And then listen to Long Time Running with your heart breaking over and over and over again.
“There’s never a good ending for a band.”
Damn near killed me.
Know them well. So many to choose from but 2 of my faves that are slightly ‘under the radar’:
Springtime in Vienna
So Hard Done ByUp To Here is one of my all time fav albums, start to finish. Trickle Down is especially enjoyable. Love those guys, great band and Gord was a great poet.
“Looking for a Place to Happen” was the song that brought me back to them after decades.
The only album I’ve had of theirs is Road Apples, and I love it. I don’t know why I haven’t listened to more. I should.
