          This won’t help with your confusion, but you’re not on a website per se. Think of the fediverse like email. I can message you from an outlook account even if you have Gmail. That’s how I’m talking to you from lemmy.world despite the fact that you’re on feddit.uk.

          Can’t help why you’re not seeing proper threading, but that may be related to what you’re using to view your feed.
