It’s Pornhub, like https://pornhub.com/. One of the biggest (if not the biggest) porn site on the planet, used by millions if not billions. There is nothing wrong with watching porn if you feel like it. What you do in your own home is your own business. Just don’t wank too much, or you are going to have health issues. Which are also totally normal and you should just go talk to your doctor, they will not be surprised or shocked, it is literally their job to deal with stuff like that.

From what I know it can irritate the skin and can lead to long term issues with the skin like dermatitis. It can also cause blood vessels to rupture under the skin, which is usually not a big issue and will heal. FFmpeg doesn’t deserve to be such a tiny block. Nothing else comes close to matching its stability and simplicity. There’s a reason it’s practically part of the foundation for all media software out there.

Iirc PH was first with the thumbnail pop up when hovering over the timeline. They also had the “waveform” thing of where users watched the most. Sure a video player is just a video player. But all the extra features like changing quality, playback speed, buffering tech, subtitles, and so much more really add up to a better experience.

- buffering is efficient and quick
- subtitles available in widescreen, small etc
- can change volume and resolution
- can be judged by community with a non-karma system

- can download, usable offline
- none of that copyright bullshit

Wouldn’t be surprised if YouTube and Netflix don’t use FFmpeg. I am pretty sure they use custom built hardware encoders. Pretty sure Netflix has a lot of blog posts about building their own encoding methods
They either do use it or a heavily modified fork to fit their usecase.
