    What activities are those, that would involve the opportunity for dates. I know lots of great activities that I do all the time but people who share in those activities aren’t looking for dates.

      I met my girlfriend of multiple years now on a plein air organized by a hiking community. I know there are other people in that same hiking community who started dating after having a nice chat during the hike. It doesn’t have to start out as a date, IMHO it’s better if you start out just chatting, then if both are single at the end you ask if they’re interested.

        Depends on the bar obviously (and you can usually get a good idea without needing to be told) but there are loads of bars where you’re the weirdo for not being there to meet people

          I do remember hearing about “singles bars” back in the 80s before I was of age. I assumed they’d faded away, but could be they just weren’t in my area or weren’t in my scene…
