My grandmother was a devout Catholic her whole life, even winning an award for her service to the church.
When the last Pope condemned Trump’s border policies in his first term, her response was the Pope needed to mind his own business. I’m glad she died before Trump’s second term.

Pope Leo is literally American, so presumably some US Catholics trust in his leadership and agree. Not all Catholics are like Cardinals Burke and Dolan.
