I kind of like the New Hope version of the Force, where it was entirely possible that it was just a superstition, and that some combination of luck and skill accounted for its supposed effects.

  Same. Even by RotJ, other than final boss bad guy lightning, it wasnt that over powered. The prequals ruined it all.
