      Both the Allies and Central Powers bought weapons from America in WW1. Probably not a smart move but I suppose you could argue it’s a political pressure in itself to keep the state from showing even more support.

      Then again, WW1 America couldn’t brick a machine gun they sold to to Germany when they decided to stop selling to both sides.
