A UK government spokesman said: “Our special relationship with the US remains strong and the UK is firmly committed to ensuring the tech prosperity deal delivers opportunity for hardworking people in both countries.”

The UK-US special relationship is special because only Brits believe it’s true.

The UK needs to realise that brexit really was a bad idea and they only can stand up to the US as part of the EU.

The UK is a big economy and is still being kicked around. My country would be absolutely curb-stomped if outside the EU.

The orchestrators of Brexit did it for this very reason

They want to make quick cash making bad deals with America for personal gain at the cost of the nation

Capitalism in a nutshell really. Loyalty to profit and power with no concern for reality.

Upvoted, despite the fact the EU got kicked around, too. But that may have been just poor negotiators or a poor negotiating position.

I think it’s the latter. Right now the EU doesn’t have the capability to provide the level of intelligence that Ukraine needs to effectively fight back, so the EU is very careful not to upset the orange one right now. Most other things we can manage, but not that. Having the US help, even if it’s a reluctant help, is good for both the EU and Ukraine.

While in the background they are.picoring to other trade agreements and even china as a more reliable trade partner. That’s also complex as there is concern that china is cannibalizing the manufacturer market. They used to only be considered low end but are now able to reliably make middle and high end products. Some chinese brands are now premium brands.

I thought the same but on the other hand the EU is unimpressed by US threads when it comes to regulations regarding tech giants. AFAIK Google is next.

          Edit:

It’s a complicated situation with Russia at our doorstep and the cunts on the other side of the ocean.

You make a deal with Trump and he will always ask for more while never delivering his end. Every time.
