I’m a tab collector myself (only around 200 or so), but having multiple windows is just insane. I’m sorry, but that is a hard line I won’t cross. I might open a second window for either private browsing or to keep a video open while browsing in the main window.

Sometimes I do have to restart Firefox due to a memory leak, but other than that, I think she’s doing just fine.

That’s so not me. But working in IT Support I deal with many users that are crazy attached to their tabs. Having too many tabs open make me feel uneasy, as if I was in messy space.
More than about 5 tabs makes me feel anxious.
Would you feel better knowing I have about 35 open windows, each with literally hundreds of open tabs?
And…99% of them are porn? I have one window thats a few youtube tabs, and one mail tab.
All the other windows are hundreds of tabs of porn.
I only care about my own browser tabs, have fun.

Ignore the reddit, I have a friend that I sometimes have to talk out of stuff on there, and I have a friend that sometimes talks me out of stuff. I will not elaborate at the moment, but may elaborate if you ask and I feel like it.

That used to be people with an office full of paper that claimed they have a system and know where everything is. These days they also have a desktop that’s just full of icons and will panic if you move even one icon.

It’s possible to store open tabs into a bookmarks folder, (in at least one browser), so you still have them stored, but don’t have them open.
It’s like taking a picture of something as a momento before throwing it away.
Tabs that haven’t been opened recently should be dumped from RAM anyway. In that case there’s very little difference between a tab and a bookmark. You could use tabs as bookmarks by duplicating one, or you could use an addon to have live bookmark previews and use bookmarks as tabs.
Alt-F4 must work fine there.

ok but some tabs I will never find the thing again and spend several days trying to find the thing, but it’s lost forever and it sometimes makes me a tiny bit sad (only a tiny bit)
My open tabs build up until eventually I switch browsers.
I’m so grateful to be able to sort tabs by group (and also the unloader plug-in).
