Emotions aside, throwing out perfectly working equipment is stupid and very bad for the environment. I’m assuming the new one is an LED lamp, well, you can get drop-in LED bulbs for the old lamp. We should all be using equipment for as long as possible instead of upgrading for the sake of upgrading.
