That’s… Huge. Given they also are the world’s factory, with all the health issues that come from that, it’s an insane thing to pull off.

China has been strengthening thier health and worker protection laws (Albiet still far from ideal) while the U.S.A. has been stripping it like a fashonita wesring yesterday’s style. We’re gonna see this gap between us and china grow.

We’ve also regressed a lot making it easier for China to close the gap. Our maternal and infant mortality rates were already terrible before gutting Roe v. Wade so those will continue to worsen. Colon cancer rates are spiking in millennials yet insurance companies won’t cover earlier screenings. Republicans continue to allow Americans to be priced out of affordable healthcare and in fact are gutting services for disabled, low-income and elderly Americans under Project 2025.

I feel like a broken record (Thats an old vinyl platter that was used in analog audio systems a few decades ago).

30% of americans voted for this. Another 30% also voted for this by not bothering to vote. And they elected him twice. So the problem is an all-of-society problem. its not a leadership problem.

It’s a red herring to blame the electorate because the US is and always has been a bourgeois democracy, otherwise known as an oligarchy. Our votes barely move the needle by design. Previously:

It’s not wrong to say regulatory capture is a problem, it just doesn’t go far enough. The US government was never not captured by the bourgeoisie, because the US was born of a bourgeois revolution[1]. The wealthy, white, male, land-owning, largely slave-owning Founding Fathers constructed a bourgeois state with “checks and balances” against the “tyranny of the majority”. It was never meant to represent the majority—the working class—and it never has, despite eventually allowing women and non-whites (at least those not disenfranchised by the carceral system) to vote. BBC: [Princeton & Northwestern] Study: US is an oligarchy, not a democracy

The game is rigged. The election cycle’s pomp and circumstance is to divert your energy and attention from the fact that it’s a big club, and you ain’t in it.

US doesn’t have ‘Democracy’ and likely never did. What you have is a show where the Epstein class manipulates the population. A real Democracy requires enlightened citizens that know how the world looks like. All information in US are manipulated by power-people, so Mericans can only know about and vote for the two sides of the same circus that keeps having the same policies.

What we see now is the real face of those in power, not some ‘maga’ group that had little say in who wins or what opinions they (they are just fed the right information, and US democracy is proven to not work).

The whole idea of the ‘superdumb maga fascist’ are likely fabricated and exaggerated through a shitload of selective video clips in one of the many propaganda campaigns always running. However, a large part of the maga voters were all those ordinary rebellious people that saw the US corruption, don’t want wars and all that, and had to believe in Trumps lies to change direction, or continue with the smiling war-psychos from the Dem puppet group. However, Trump was himself just manufactured consent and everything Trump does now where scripted years ago. The Elites need someone to crack the current system so they can fight China, save their power and Trump is a standard ‘bad cop’ and a standard fallguy that the elite can point to afterwards.

Mericans are always pushed around and manipulated, always.

…it’s only a 0.8 year difference. Obesity is pretty detrimental, so I assumed people in the United States would have a comparitively lower life expectancy. The fact that people in China only live this much longer indicates China has an unhealthier environment, poorer nutrition, or less effective healthcare.

It’s a great trend, and I hope it gets better.

I think it has more to do with their rapid urbanization

Prior to the 1950s, only 10% of China’s population was considered urban. In the same period, the US’s urbanized population was closer to 60%
