Chuck Varga, a founding member and vocalist of the shock-rock heavy metal band GWAR, has died following a battle with cancer. A resident of Brooklyn, New York, Varga was 68.
Blöthar has been a great replacement for Oderus. I have seen them many times with both fronting the band.
Personally I think Oderus’s slave, Dave did interviews better (he would not break character for any reason), Blöthar’s slave, Bishop does okay (he seems to forget he is in costume and blends the slave and the master together.)
I wish I had been able to see them live for the brief time Vulvatron was with them.
