Kaboom is a fascist. They’ve been posting a lot more and I think it’s because the check from the Kremlin finally cleared.

Yup! There’s like 3 people who post in that fascist little community, and he is an open Christian Nationalist.

It’s so funny to dunk on them though, because they seem to actually believe the bullshit that gets shovelled down their throats by the insane reactionary media they use to work themselves into a rage.

They think they portray themselves like reasonable scholars, but to anyone outside their little bubble they sound like bath-salt snorting weirdos. Anything that cracks that bubble is deleted immediately by the chief weirdo who mods over there.

As a proud shit stirrer, I’ve got to say I’ve never seen a good take from that instance, but I’m also not entirely certain it’s not one person.

I don’t think any of them compare to lemmy.world. I’ve seen people openly right wing there, and I’ve seen them downvote people for no apparent reason other than being openly trans. I’ve been trying to report these incidents when they happen but I feel like it’s useless since they never do anything, even when the people are homed on their instance.

Really? I’m not saying you’re lying but that’s not been my experience at all. I do block extremely liberally and have since I came here during the first reddexodus so maybe I’ve just stayed ahead of the idiot assholes

Probably, most of the ones on Lemmy.world are on the covert side, using dogwhistles and subtle language, to convey their points that most other people, mods included usually miss.

I can’t imagine anything more “snowflake” than posting from a server that has disabled downvoted. They have no idea how universally hated their politics are.

    Cuckoldry has no temporal dimension

If a conservative’s wife had sex with someone before she married him, the conservative is a cuck. In order to avoid this humiliation, conservatives advocate marrying children. This is consistent and inevitable logic

Who else falls for the “strongman” gift.

If you grow up without a dad, a man can go one of two ways:

      1. I’m going to have to be the dad I never had, for myself. I need to be the hero and source of love and safety he didn’t know how to give or provide.

      2. Yeah, new daddy’s right. Its all those damn women and immigrants fault.

Is there a reason you use uncommon terms to refer to family members?

      Eg “wife’s son” vs “stepson”?

Or was the kid your offspring and you just wanted to bait that loser?

It was 100% trolling. I’m not married and neither my partner nor myself have any children.

It’s playing into the liberal soyboy cuck stereotype.

      Holy crap!

Some of those comments could seem like an extreme joke of conservative beliefs, but when you take the rest of the comments they actually believe it - that’s a terrifying level of far right nutso.

Correct take. “Wife’s son” taken genuinely gives off very strong distancing vibes. It feels like he’s trying to disown or reject his relationship to the stepson. It’s kind of like when people say “baby mama” to refer to their current partner. No, there’s no direct link between them and myself: we’re just related by this other secondary relationship.

“my wife’s _” is such a huge meme that it feels forced to even try reading it genuinely when a more organic way of wording it is available.

IMHO you don’t get to call them that until they call you dad, and that doesn’t necessarily happen the moment you get married.

My mother in law married someone while my wife was an adult. She would never call him dad, and he would never call her daughter, that doesn’t mean they aren’t family or aren’t close.

Nonsense, you call eachother how you see them. If my stepson doesn’t call me dad that’s fine, he’s still my stepson
