    Private in what sense? If it’s privacy from Facebook, you can’t.

    A good idea would be isolate WhatsApp in a secondary profile. So, for example, if you grant contacts permission WhatsApp won’t be able to see the list of contact in your main user, only the one within your secondary user.

      that is correct; Facebook (WhatsApp’s owner) does track you regardless of the message content and happily cross-references and shares metadata with all people who pay or are interested in.

    Just read and not write any messages in whatsapp. Such advice provides pretty high level of privacy.
