A second Boeing jet intended for use by a Chinese airline was heading back to the U.S. on Monday, flight tracking data showed, in what appears to be another victim of the tit-for-tat bilateral tariffs launched by President Donald Trump in his global trade offensive.

This is worse for Boeing than first appears. Should the trade war last, China will likely cannibalize their existing American inventory rather than purchase replacement parts.

That means Boeing is loosing money on aircraft it sold before the tariffs, and that every day this goes on, China will be less and less reliant on the American aircraft industry.

Can China not reverse engineer the replacement parts and manufacture them themselves?
