They don’t use Signal though. They use a clone called TeleMessage Signal which logs and archives all their messages on an Israeli server, and which a hacker was able to access before the service was suspended.
You can’t really help if someone forks and misuses software.
The problems are capable of being fixed. The people of Gotham take to crime to survive because they have been squeezed by the ruling class and it’s the only way to protect what remains of their material conditions.
The Waynes and people like them, the owning class, prop up a system of inequality that forces these conditions to endure.
Bruce Wayne, the richest and most powerful of all, is hurt back (his parents killed) and instead of solving the systemic issues, he doles out individualized corporal punishment as a vigilante.
It’s the ultimate extension of “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”: Rich people will never acknowledge that the very system that provides them power is the ultimate root of all the issues they intend to solve via violence. Batman is himself the ultimate villain of the story.
Why do you think Israel positions itself as an ethnostate so? “Everything we do is Jewish because we’re an ethnostste with strict apartheid for non-Jews so if you criticize us it’s antisemitism!!”
But the actions of Israel and its government are not the actions of Jews, they are the actions of Israel.
This is the part of the internet that we have forgotten. Everyone is supposed to be their own little island but they all connect. If I want news I shouldn’t have to go to Facebook, I should have to go to the news org.
This is why the Fediverse has been thriving by imitating monolithic platforms like Reddit or Twitter but doing so in a way that domains (aka “sites” are still all their own.
I shouldn’t have to go to Reddit to get to CNN, I should have to go to CNN to get CNN. CNN should not join Lemmy, CNN should host a Lemmy instance and have communities for topics and programs, and its users should only be people who work there. And that should all be federated out for the rest of us to interact with.
(CNN was the quickest news org name to type and I wasn’t about to use Fox as an example)
It’s actually quite comfortable to use, despite it feeling like an Xbox Duke with anaphylaxis and as thin and cheap as the Wii U gamepad without the battery in it. I’m sure that they did much better with the Steam Desk and eventual rumored Steam Controller 2 but they definittknownwhat they’re doing.
Is there no way to get it to run on ARM systems? Are none of them powerful enough to be useful without being Macs?
The USB consortium should sue Nintendo to force them to take the USB connector off the switch 2 then.
It ain’t universal if you block it. From working with anything but your devices, and yet you advertise it that way.
When games put DRM in them that requires a server
And I buy that game
And then they take away that server
I want my money back
Or for them to patch the game so it works
It’s not fucking hard to figure out
“What the fuck is this paragraph of ranting nonsense?”
“Oh, it’s an ad for piefed “
I love the trigger locks for Switch 2 use as well. It’s nice to have a controller I can go between both systems with.
Ultimate 2 wireless I use with 2.4Ghz through the docking station. It works well but it was annoying that the back paddles and L4/R4 buttons (secondary bumpers) could only be mapped as another button, instead of being their own function. It will be nice to have the extra buttons if that is what’s working now. I had the beta firmware on them but steam still did not recognize them yet (but the beta firmware did allow Switch 2 to recognize them!)
……you mean Steam?
EDIT: no you troglodytes, his game uses Steam. Unless it was added recently it doesn’t have online-only DRM. I’m not saying Steam is online only, I’m saying his game uses Steam.
Nah, plenty of SA happening in Boston bars, and has been for like 10 years now in this recent “wave” where incidents have been increasing.
Motherfuckers just never knew how to have a good time.
Ask any apple fanboy/fanatic and they will tell you, and they will be correct: Apple rarely leads the charge. They wait and they bide their time, and they watch how a technology is applied and how it works well and how it fails, and then they engineer a solution that they believe to be a smoother user experience to everyone else, and only then do they drop a new tech.
Budget phone makers are trying to stand out and captivate a much smaller market segment, so they have to go big or go home, or else no one will care.
The big guys are so big that they can actually use the market itself as market research, and the big guys are so big they can hold out until they know they have a stable, proven solution.
