I’m trying to find out a list of companies using stripe and I think it would be easier to list ones not using it… What I’m getting is basically any time I spend money online, and sometimes in person, they get a cut

My friend screenshares shows with me and we watch and talk to help me fall asleep at night ❤️ It works better on the deck than my phone
I’m looking into doing that currently. I built a reasonable savings for myself enough I could go back to college in another country. Thinking of brushing up on learning and then to work in a new place
Like half of my job is writing .bat files to automate stuff locally and not tell my boss that all I do anymore is double click the right things in the right order…
Two things here explain this for me. One someone already mentioned I don’t believe Max is one person I think he is a legendary figure that gets merged into one person as people talk about their local heroes. The other is I always viewed the first movie as one of the holdouts of old civilization. For whatever reason that region had the resources to be in a more normal state for longer. When Max fucks off into the desert he’s going deeper into areas that are more desperate and have been hit harder by everything. We don’t know the full landscape of everything. The bat shit stuff we seen in later movies could be relatively isolated even but the society that does remain could be more like city states that dont have the power to go in and control the wild areas.
Came here to call out Seattle too. Those chairs especially show up in any style of restaurant it is wild. I see this some in Spokane (or I did when I was there last don’t know if there are more or fewer of them in the last few years).
Well that sucks :I
I love capitalism “Hey instead of someone doing something with this lets all sit on it and give everyone the middle finger. If I can’t profit nobody can”
Adding another potential thing here, I just learned of a game called Silica. It is a hybrid play where some people play as RTS commanders and some people play as on the ground FPS soldiers. Haven’t played it yet but could be interesting for mixed skill level based on which genre someone is good at
Don’t forget the contracts with the military to help train them to “definitely not kill people”!
Hello I work for Unity (for now lol, we’ll see)! I’d like to just say from my end of things we do actually do a solid amount of R&D. Just that a depressing amount of it either never sees the light of day, takes so long to release it has already been done better by someone else, or is unannounced with little to no documentation on release so it never gets visibility. The other thing to note is that Unity does a lot of non-game things that might not be that noticeable if you’re just looking at it from a game making perspective, like our publicly known contracts we have to help train the military to “totally not kill people you guys”!
Eco is a total dumpster fire of ‘who can speedrun latestage capitalism the fastest and kill the server’. The only times I’ve had a successful server experience is when I lie my way into government then stranglehold the economy into being not capitalism so the general population can actually participate in the fun parts of the game. Anyway I have a thousand hours in it one of my favorite games, the only game I have with more recorded playtime is Factorio.
There are, yeah
Both have been used at different times so the words are effectively interchangeable. However I’d also like to point out that in my example specifically duct tape is the proper word to use as that’s how it is used in Red Green:
Complete with the intersex pansexual enby who is also a god who gets going with some rando who can talk robots to death? Because I can’t stress enough how crucial that detail is.
Hey I made a roleplaying inspired Starcraft 1 map back in the day! Player 1 was the DM, I had different ways to spawn and send units to various parts of the map, or resources to players. So I would do things like spawn in a neutral and a hostile faction and be like ‘there are bandits fucking with the locals’ or whatever. Whoever went in and saved them I could pop another trigger to gift the neutral units to that player, or I could gift resources. It was clunky but a lot of fun.
I remember some of the roleplay maps with automated ‘DMs’ were really interesting. I was much more interested in playing with a live DM though so I built that map in the hopes that the style got enough traction for me to be a player. It did not take off though compared to the auto roleplay ones
Open Morrowind has a multiplayer mod that’s probably a bit out of date by now: https://github.com/TES3MP/openmw-tes3mp
Loop Hero has some interesting time loop stuff that is very well merged into the story and mechanics. It isn’t a particularly complex game and is a rogue-lite
Crypt of the Necrodancer lets you add custom music. I don’t think it is able to handle music streaming though it is a bit of a manual process iirc. The gameplay is pretty different from Vampire Survivors. Basically enemies all move and attack in patterns that increment based on a beat, and you need to time your movement and attacks to the beat as well. Fun game
Elite Dangerous has some of those elements, not quite what you’re describing rhough
In the past when I’ve had to migrate emails I’ll set up automatic forwarding for anything important like that. Then switch the services you can. Idk if something like that could work for you and it is admittedly a bit of a pain to keep track of. Could limit MS influence on your stuff though
