I know you don’t want advice. I know, but, there are meal replacements, that aren’t nothing but sugar, corn and soy crap, and are much more nutritionally complete. May be worth looking into them. Huel and Soylent (sold in Target for sure) are the first that come to mind. I understand if your reply is “thanks” just wanted to throw that out there, because I feel your pain.
I have ALL kinds of GI issues. The latest GI I saw, after waiting like 2 years during covid (had one appt before lockdowns, and then had to wait), and then another like 4 months after I called to book an appointment, ran a HIDA scan, which came back as low/abnormal. His answer? Oh, well it’s too close to normal to do surgery, so just take miralax and don’t eat fatty foods. Gee thanks, why didn’t I think of that, professionally trained guesser extortionist? When asked if there were going to be long term effects from taking a laxative, like, idk making constipation worse, his answer? IDK, maybe?
Good luck
for starters people around here tend to misinterpret what you’re saying accidentally or willfully, far more than my experience with reddit previously.
Honestly, this is what has driven me away. No matter how innocuous something I say is, there are a bunch of “well, askshewly” asshats to argue an irrelevant part of your statement, or start the “whataboutism” shit. It’s exhausting, and frankly, takes all the fun out of it.
That and the bots reposting reddit shit. I may as well go back to reddit. Plus Narwhal is still working…
That’s the thing, I live near train tracks/station. The fucking train honks incessantly. There are like 4 or 5 intersections that train crosses in pretty quick succession, plus the station, so they just lay on the horn for a good mile. No one pays attention to it. It’s like the boy that cried wolf. It totally defeats the purpose of it’s trying to alert anyone to anything. Not to mention the noise pollution it needlessly creates. Idk who decided that was a reasonable solution, instead of putting up the people gates, but fuck them. That law needs to be completely abolished imo.
Typically, for me, it’s been a situation where the guy was really physically attractive, but a an absolutely horrible person.
I’m really not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this. It’s true. Whether people think it’s “tasteful” or not doesn’t change reality.
I grew up in San Diego, so huge marine and navy population. There are a handful of bars that are super fun to people watch at (typically JUST off base) for this exact reason. Alcohol and desperation make interesting bedfellows.
Restaurant/chefs do sell menus to other restaurants/bars/chefs, so they may sell that off, but the public would never know about it.
You largely have intuit/turbotax/quickbooks/mailchimp/whatever other name they use for that process. Or at least the paying for it part
I’m 5 years younger, give or take. Husband and I have been toying with that idea more and more. Liquidate it all, and buy an RV to travel in, and be happy checked out nomads.
We don’t own a house, the absolute lowest rent we can find (within a 20 mile radius of our business) is $2600 a month (1 bed/1 bath), and every year Greystar and their cronies raise the rent significantly. The apartment we are in now is currently listed for right around $3k. It was up around $3200 about a month ago. It’s a fucking 1 bedroom.
Food gets more and more expensive. Insurance for everything is easily $1k a month. All the “utilities” just keep going up and up, and being in San Diego, SDGE just keeps bending us over further and further. We pay more for electricity than anyone else in the country, last I heard. Fucking why?! Car payments, and petrol is hovering right around $5.50-$6 per gallon now. We never eat out because it’s inevitably over $50, and sucks.
When I graduated high school, a house was somewhere in the $250k to $300k range, in an ok area, but far from most stuff (yay urban sprawl) with interest rates being over 7%. Ok. cool, in todays money that would be solid, but back then, I made less than $9 an hour. Then we had how many “once in a lifetime” financial crisis in the span of what 10 years, right after I got out of school.
Owning a business gets harder and harder each year, and more and more expensive. City and county both keep making up new shit to charge a $300 fee here, a $400 fee there, another $250 fee there. Plus, hacking, banks, and the rest of the shit going wrong, we just had $4k stolen from our payment account, and Intuit (the fucking devil, only behind nestle) just shrug their shoulders, say they aren’t a bank, and to get fucked. I just don’t want to do any of it anymore.
I also don’t have family to help me, so I’ve always been on my own. Your kids are VERY, unbelievably lucky. I have asked my mother for help once in my adult lifetime, and I was told I didn’t deserve it, and I got myself in the position, so I needed to figure it out myself.
I didn’t mean for this to turn into a whine fest. But to answer the original question, no, I don’t. I did the right things, I started a business to better my life, and while I’d say we are squarely middle class, but what I was promised as a kid absolutely does NOT line up with reality.
I’m pretty sure those are the same types that start anti pedophilia groups to then be charged with and convicted of pedophilia. Or the anti gay/drag people who end up being gay AF. Or the ones that try to ban porn, only to have 10tb of porn on their computers when they get fired/breakup/get arrested. But I know what you mean.
It doesn’t spray INTO your ass. I mean, I guess it could, but you’d have to REALLY try to make it happen.
The samurai is an amazing little vehicle. They are pretty adorable too.
I know a lot of people think the same thing. I’ve even seen people say so on here/reddit, on other bidet posts.
Right? It’s really weird though because a lot of those same people talk about eating ass, a LOT.
It’s getting very difficult to find parts for the FB. There are a lot less people who know how to work on them, or are willing to work on them too. They are a blast to drive, and every time I think I should sell mine, I go for a drive, and remember why I can’t.
A few pics of mine…
There are a large number of Americans that think:
I’ve had mine for about 15 years now. It’s a 1982 GSL with all the original factory options. Mines pretty heavily modified though. It made a huge 89rwhp on the dyno out of the carb’d 12a.
Just about everyone I know has trouble fitting in all the fun cars. I’m relatively small, so I fit great in my rx7 and Miata.
I think you have to be part of the greater car community, at least, to know much about one, but probably a smaller niche of people looking for practical vehicles that are fun to know about the samurai.
I love the first gen RX7, and while far more well known (the FD anyhow), than the samurai, there is a LOT of confusion and misinformation out there about my car and the rotary engine in general. I feel your pain.
Running. Ok, I know it’s not obscure, however, if you say you’re a runner, or that it’s a hobby, you’re frequently met with hostility, or people trying to talk you out of it. The amount of times people have said “running is bad for you, you need to stop” is insane.
Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt by NiN
The video is beautiful, but the story, and timeline of cash’s later life, is heartbreaking.
It’s not flashy, it’s not in your face, but it evokes feelings in most people, and tells a story.
