Thanks for all the comments! I may have already chosen one, but keep posting!
I bet Imm not the only one getting into console modding here looking for a soldering iron to buy.
I’m never going to be doing much beyond console modding and I travel a bit so I went Pinecil.
I saw Hakko as a great option, was just a bit much for my use case.
I will too start calling you blockbuster if I see you in the comments now lmaoooo
Omfg thank you! I was hesitant to buy anymore games bc of the price, any brand in particular I should go for?
Alright, where would I buy a kit from todo so? I’ve been looking here: retrogamerepairshop unsure if this is priced well or not or even where to look.
About average, I mainly wanted to purchase from a local shop though to support business. It’s a common date night spot for my gf an I bc they have a small collection of cabinets and pinball machines to play at the shop too.
Battery upgrade is definitely on the table probably a usb-c. it was verified working though from the shop. Unsure where to get the kits though and what a reasonable price is for a kit.
Alright, just a cotton swab with alcohol should be plenty
Why not thunder? It’s worked amazingly well for me, sideloaded.
I bought the expansion and it was just three more paywalls.
Amazon, iirc they’re called “Toe Socks”. I have a pair and they’re actually really nice.
Thunder! I run the ipa sideloaded. Gets weekly or so updates, very active development.
Great watch! I’m now going to go play Tempest on my 2021 lenovo laptop with my Atari VCS controller.
Wdym points? This is lemmy, we use beans
Sounds like a plan! I may post there originally and then cross-post elsewhere to help bring attention to the community.
edit: I can’t seem to post there, probably just my Thunder client.
No, not a big fan of game cheats, for me it removes the fun after a while
How much does this weigh- is this even practical? I know it’s a meme (I hope) but I’m also curious.
What key details in a blower would I be looking for really?
