It’s also about flooding the zone. They’re not trying to push a cohesive narrative. They want to keep people confused about what’s happened so they disengage entirely.
Yeah, isn’t aging straight up caused by degradation during replication, like oxidation or something? I feel like being immortal would necessarily imply we fixed that shit
I’m too lazy to look it up right now but there have definitely been cheaters in Rocket League. The fact that it isn’t a shooter is actually made it easy to cheat in; when there’s no precedent for what cheating even looks like, how do you spot it? I remember a few years ago there was a whole scandal where it turned out someone who was famous for making trickshots had some kind of bot that was able to calculate exactly how to hit the ball midair and send it into the goal.
If you ever need to reinstall, I would recommend Mint. The main branch is a fork of Ubuntu, but it feels far more polished in my experience.
“Ah but you see, it’s not misleading at all! You really are purchasing a temporary license to watch the content!”
Considering how much leeway we give food companies to lie about how they label their products, I have absolutely no faith we’ll correct the advertising here either
While the letters are adjacent, I don’t think that was a typo. “Finna” is pretty common slang, just a variant of “gonna”
It seems like it works most of the time so I don’t know why it would be inconsistent. I’ve also never seen it go bigger than -1
It’s something to do with how Piefed interacts with Voyager. Never seen it on my Lemmy account or on the browser version of Piefed. boy do I love being immediately proven wrong, this post is currently at -1 both in Voyager and on browser https://piefed.ca/post/114465
Does it still say -1 for you? For me it’s a positive 1
Judging by the way they spelled “teeny,” I can’t help but wonder if they might also be familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet
I’ve worked repetitive, hot, boring jobs before, but I don’t know how the people working those trucks can keep their sanity with that music on repeat. I get sick enough of Christmas music in stores after hearing them like twice, and the blaring of an ice cream truck is 100x worse!
One just started coming through my neighborhood like 2 weeks ago, and there’s a kid a few houses down who seems to always be ready to run out and stop the truck. Takes easily 10+ minutes for the music to fade out. Like, I hate to be a grumpy old man, but that music drives me fucking nuts! I’m on the verge of trying to beat the kid to the truck just so I can bribe the guy to drive away as fast as possible

On the other hand, jellyfin’s identify feature works better than plex’s did for me, and it lets you rename stuff very easily whereas Plex needed you to find the exact piece of media in a database.
My mom asked me to rip a set of weirdo bootleg tai chi DVDs years ago, back when I used Plex, but I couldn’t figure out how to get them to show up in the library because, again, weirdo bootleg media and I have no idea where she got them. But I switched to jellyfin last year and on a whim decided to mess with them, and getting them to show up in my jellyfin library was basically automatic
Edit, another fun example of fucking with Plex’s identify feature just came to mind. For some reason it kept deciding that random movies were actually some movie named “A Fish Called Wanda.” I’d never heard of it before, the movies it would misidentify were entirely random as far as I could tell, and no amount of fuckery would get it to identify the movie correctly. It would decide that, say, The Matrix was actually AFCW, I’d remove the files for The Matrix, and it would decide something else was AFCW. Eventually I got fed up and downloaded an actual copy of AFCW, but it still refused to play the correct files if I navigated to AFCW in my library. Never did figure that one out.
