Released in French cinemas 25 years ago this month, Baise-moi is a pulpy, ultra-violent odyssey of two women disillusioned with a patriarchal society that is now remembered as one of cinema’s biggest cause célèbres

Earlier this month, Zohran Mamdani went on Hot 97, New York’s preeminent hip-hop radio station, to tell the story of how he first entered politics. It’s a tale he’s told many times: In 2015, Mamdani started knocking on doors for an aspiring Queens city councilman, Ali Najmi. But when he told it this time, Mamdani highlighted the real reason he wanted to get involved.
That reason was Himanshu Suri, the Queens-raised rapper and co-founder of the groups Das Racist and Swet Shop Boys. Suri, better known as Heems, grew up with Najmi and had been campaigning on his childhood friend’s behalf.
It’s Heems.

But I thought DEI was bad…

Sorry, I should have been more clear…
The article made it sound like he was broadcasting from a missile impact site, condemning those that broadcast those impact sites.

“Broadcasts that show exactly where the missiles land on the State of Israel are a danger to state security,” he said from a missile impact site in Petah Tikva on Tuesday.
???

What a waste of taxpayer dollars. If only there were a department for government efficiency that could fire everyone involved.

Close… no offense to CGP, but Texagons are the bestagons.

If corporations are people, is it racist to boycott them, especially whole industries?

Is that the floor plan to his studio?

Until someone that owns an asbestos mine buys one of those trump gold cards…

Isn’t it the case that “consensus” in the sciences is just a shorthand for “we agree that this is most likely to be true”?
If I were conversing with a scientist and I asked about possibility x, and they disagreed with it for the reason that “the consensus is…”, I would assume that they are not saying possibility x is wrong, but rather that they would need really good evidence to agree that x is correct.
Kidneythieves is a criminally underrated band.

No idea, I just quoted the article since I hate those clickbait headlines.

The latest, deluxe end point of these time and attendance tchotchkes and apps is something like Austin-headquartered HID’s OmniKey platform. Designed for factories, hospitals, universities and offices, this is essentially an all-encompassing RFID log-in and security system for employees, via smart cards, smartphone wallets, and wearables.
