  • I went into Walmart yesterday for my annual soap/shampoo/mouthwash bulk purchase as they have the products I like at the best price (in bulk). I got to the section and it was all locked up behind glass…

I turned around and walked right out. No idea where I’m gonna get it from now, but I’m not gonna support that bullshit.

The claims of mass losses due to shoplifting have been proven false multiple times over. These are just racist store policies intended to make you spend more time in their store or to buy online or from mobile apps.

    Enshitification keeps on keeping on.

  • Xbox Game Pass for PC is an incredible value, even with the caveat of having to run windows (which sucks so bad). That’s always my top rec for PC gamers.

Elden Ring is still my number one game. It’s awesome and will run great on your new PC as well as your deck. It’s also got a lot in common with your listed games.

Grounded is a great game as well! It’s a reasonably difficult survival crafting game (like Subnautica). Same goes for Return to Moria.

  • I don’t disagree, there have been more than a few questionable decisions made by Disney execs on the MCU.

    But…

I’m pretty sure Sam Wilson has been Captain America in the comics, more than once I think. I don’t think it’s a bad move for them to make this change, especially with how well they wrapped up Steve’s arc in Endgame. Actors age and using canon replacements is a great way to continue a franchise and introduce new stories.

Also: it’s not Black Falcon, it’s just Falcon. Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren’t being racist about it.

  • This is simply wrong. Many of the worst mass shootings in the last decade were committed with low power rifles and handguns. I’m actually pretty sure the two worst mass shootings (by count of those who were killed) in the US were done using .22 ammunition. Those weapons were not covered by whatever ban you’re talking about

It’s not about “assault weapons” and it’s not even about guns. It’s about the inability of our government to pass meaningful legislation around gun ownership and mental health and especially where those two topics intersect

The problem is that human suffering is normalized because the wealthy political class and those who fund them are not going to let things change for the better if it means less money for them.
