I believe the CEOs son has some special needs and he’s been big on pushing them to develop inputs methods that are accessible. It’s definitely getting better! As a gamer who’s been playing since they were a kid and now in my 30’s I’m starting to get RSI like issues and definitely appreciate some of these accessibility movements because they allow me to change up my input more often.
Isn’t that technically salting the earth? Maybe in something like the Sahara but I don’t see like it’s a good idea.
If that’s the issue what about just cranking the vibration up so you can feel and hear it if you set it down?
I’ve thought of doing something similar, the other fun part is that you could stash a big battery behind the display and run the E-ink on a super slow refresh rate since they only use power to refresh. I wish E-ink wasn’t so ridiculously expensive. This monitor would be perfect if it weren’t $1200.
The article doesn’t really go into it but what’s a typical yield for chips like that? That’s great they’re on a smaller dye but if you’re trashing half of them it seems you’re not quite there yet.
The ear buds are so tiny I don’t know if the average person could do it, and in terms of components it’s really only the battery that would need replacing. I’d like to see app change it up where the AirPod sticks unscrew and can be swapped/recycled. Sustainable from the get go.
A lot of people there are unfortunately essentially captive too. Apparently coming over to America on sponsored visas and need to find an alternative company willing to sponsor them - which is not easy. They can’t quit without risking their ability to stay in the country.
I believe they’re allowing new browsers on iOS now but they’ll likely not be performant as safari due to Apples WebKit optimizations.

It varies for me. Some days I’m like “I get to work out! 😄”
And other days are closer to
“I have to work out 😣”
But I like the progress I’ve made, I’m even starting to see shadow under my ribs. I always feel better after the workout though, and it makes me feel like the relaxation time I typically do after is earned.
Same reason I’m on Suse now as well. I got tired of tinkering all the time.
I’d throw an option out for Suse but if you really want as little OS as possible Arch Linux.
I think the other issue is that giving them money doesn’t stop some of the ads iirc

I love shooters but I can’t do fortnight or any game mode that CS-esque because I need that respawn
I wish dumb TVs were more available. I have a Samsung and I mainly use their interface to swap HDMI inputs - though the built in Spotify app has a better screensaver.
My main issue is that good screens in large formats, like the latest OLEDs aren’t really available in dumb TVs.
