Not really. I pretty much exclusively use my desktop pc for gaming. I have a laptop for doing work on.

Only shit thing is a couple online games I like playing are dicks about their anti cheat and not wanting to be Linux compatible.

It’s that to be good you have to think several moves ahead. Being able to predict and plan out you and the opponents next 5 moves takes intelligence.

Wow. The prison is named Cecot. I just read a few articles on it. That place is fucked up. Was built for 20,000 people, but capacity then doubled. Like 80 people to a cell with no sheets or pillows on all metal beds. A bucket of water in each cell to drink. You eat (no meat ever served) in your crowded cell that has no chairs and the lights stay on 24/7 and you only get out of your cell 30 minutes a day. The country more or less eliminated due process a few years back. No inmates are allowed visitors or phone calls or letters. Also, no books or games or playing cards or anything that could provide any sort of entertainment. If you’re supposed to go before a judge it’s done over video conference call. Lot of other fucked up shit, too.

In the crunchyroll/anime world, subs is pretty much exclusively a translation to a different language.

Also, contextually you’re 100% wrong. Do you even watch anime? Have you ever heard anyone ask if a show is dubbed or if it’s a localization/ translation? Shit no. It’s subbed for Japanese audio with different language words at the bottom, or it’s dubbed if the audio has been added in with a different language.

Lol. Not at all. A well done subtitle changes a lot from a close translation because languages like going from Japanese to English don’t directly translate and still flow. Especially jokes and little quips. AI translations can’t do it at all. You’ll be able to understand the words and get most of the story, but it’s overall makes for a much more lackluster translation than recording everything to make it good.

The truth is that right now AI would just do an outright shit job of subtitles. Let alone voice acting any of it. CR’s stance will change years down the line when AI’s abilities change.

I kind of used the wrong word, really. They aren’t doing so much as they did with FF7. It’s more like just a re-master. It’ll run in wide-screen, have some qol improvements for inventory, upscale graphics, lots of music, audio, and cutscene improvements, and some other little stuff, as well as retro mode that will make it all look and sound and appear just like it was 30 years ago.

I’ve been waiting for its release for like 6 months, but it actually drops just next week on ps4/ps5, pc, switch, and xbone.

Even though I’ve been waiting, I’m not sure if I’ll get it next week right away or not. They’re releasing physical copies on amazon for $55, but the digital copy is still $50. I’m a PC gamer, so I’ll probably wait until that price gap is bigger if I’m only going to have a digital copy.

Also, it’s Lunar 1 and 2 bundled together, so two classics.

I’m looking forward to checking out the re-make that’s about to drop of one of my old favorite games. Lunar: Silver Star Story. I still have my PS1 version.
