God…imagine playing with a bunch of NPC’s with robotic voices that regularly fuck up the intonation and pronunciation of simple sentences all the time. There are few things I can think of that will break my immersion faster than this.
Please refrain from rude, snarky, insulting or otherwise mean-spirited replies when communicating with me. Agreement with my opinions and views is not required - politeness and civility are. Those unable to follow this simple rule will be blocked and cheerily ignored. Thank you, and have an incredible day.

I think that’s a logical way of looking at it.

This is actually a really great idea. At least until HeroForge figures out how many people are doing it, and then puts behind a paywall. ;)

I will never, ever make enough money to be able to pay an artist to do custom character portraits for me every time I need one.

How terrible am I if I use free AI image generators to make character portraits for use in VTT’s? It’s better than stealing human-generated artwork off the internet, right? It still feels cringe, though. :(
I don’t know about ‘most’ of my dishes, but I do use an awful lot of smoked paprika…
I totally agree, and apparently so do a lot of people. :)
I absolutely love Shadowdark. I just can’t find anyone to play it with. Fantastic game, though.

Can you point me to an Amazon game that’s a runaway blockbuster success?

I mean, considering what a train-wreck Rings of Power is…yay?

Vampires suck.

This is the way.

Ah, beer - making dinner and your date look so much better than they really are for thousands of years. ;)

Yeah. Here in the US, grocery prices are such that I simply don’t splurge or go to restaurants, anymore. The steak sure looks good, though!

At current grocery prices, I can afford to smell it. Does that count?
As far as I know, this is no different than what Valve/Steam does. I love Steam and do 99% of my gaming through it, but I also know that if anything ever happens to Steam, my game library is like…gone, man. Unless you’re holding your game in your hot little hands, it’s not yours. You’re just paying for the ability to play it.
Welcome to late-stage Capitalism, kids.
