I hope they make a one or two more options aesthetically. I think their current design is a good design, but really not my personal taste. I’d love to see another option or two as time goes on if its financially feasible for them!

Its not astroturfing, it’s that people have expectations of them beyond just being a browser that let’s you access the web.

Frankly its not that great of a browser (its serviceable. And I use it, or a derivative, pretty much exclusively); generally the reason you use it is because you care about abstract things like not supporting the chromium monopoly, or wanting to pick the project managed with the most care for how it will impact actual humans

And Mozilla has been making kinda crummy choices with respects to those abstract values more and more regularly it feels like 😅

Like I really wanna love and support Mozilla. I’m using their browser cause I think its the best choice by the metrics that are important to me. And more and more I just feel kinda exhausted and kinda frustrated with them 😅

I’m gonna second the reccomendation to just boot it from a flash drive and try it out. Virtualization takes a ton of performance and on lots of hardware isn’t going to be a nice experience compared to actually running it without virtualization

You don’t have to make the switch, but it’ll give you a much better sense of what you might like, without dealing with lag and input delay :)

For one of my friends its just cause she has a shitload going on and enough problems to deal with without trying to figure out a new way for her computer to work and whatnot

Plus I think art stuff she uses doesn’t support linux and she found krita unsuitable for how she likes to work

Yeah thats very fair. My impression is that Draynos hacks are usually not brutal, but there’s no version that doesn’t patch difficulty so if you like the challenges you either play with higher difficulty or you pick a different patch

I want more vanilla+, so I’m usually a tad bummed about that, but people regard his hacks really highly, even if theyre less what I’m looking for :)

Same as the other commenter so far. It gives better audio quality than any other I’ve tried. I’m not sure if it has editing though, I don’t use it a ton

Honestly I largely did too, I pick my favorite designs from each gen and make a team with them, but it worked out okay! I considered chimecho but I mostly just adore chingling and it’s way too weak to battle with. I also considered using trash wormadan; steel and bug are my favorite types, but it’s not that compelling of a design, and it’s not very good 😅. I’d love to include it on a team someday though
