I just use ublock with Firefox, I’m fine with the baked in ads on Firefox I don’t mind supporting them. Considering what the other option is, I want to support them.

I’m gonna get a lot of hate for saying this but I WANT there to be ads on Lemmy, for developers of apps and hosters, I want there to be a way to fund the fediverse without everyone needing to pay money out of pocket. If you don’t want that that’s fine I don’t care but I want more people on Lemmy contributing more and it being free and still being able to support full time developers without being dependent on donations is a huge hurdle that will make or break the fediverse IMHO

Edit: to add onto this a lot of the people who cry about data security are not constantly running a proxy server with a VPN, I doubt they have an independent routing firewall, they probably use unsecured applications all the time, there are very few people on here where a Lemmy app will be their biggest data security flaw. 99% of y’all are not Mr Robot please stop pretending to be

I appreciate the kind words. I myself am a recovered addict, was very addicted to Xanax and cocaine (which my sister introduced me to at a young age). It can be frustrating at times especially for myself to see people deal with this, because I was able to stop myself and change my life.

Ultimately you can’t help those that don’t wish to help themselves, and trying to do that will accomplish nothing except for ruining your own life.

Older sister, drug addict, lost her first kid and second kid is now permanently in the custody of my mother. We don’t speak, it’s hard to talk to her, she thinks shes a god and that she sees spirits and she’s just totally out to lunch.

I doubt enough signal reflect of off your very radio wave observing skull to make much of a difference at all, it’s most likely a placebo effect and the real reason it extends the range is because you are holding the key fob higher, so it has a better LOS with less obstructions, and it has a better chance to bounce waves off of the very reflective concrete on the ground up to the sensor of your car.

Organic materials are absolute crap at reflecting wireless signals, they are much better at absorbing and scattering them.

There is absolutely no way this is true. I need to see some evidence to believe this. (I work as a wireless technician)
