  • That doesn’t seem unlikely to me, since Trump has destroyed the basis of trust with his allies and is thus doing considerable damage to one of the few US industries that is still functioning well, namely the arms industry.

Perhaps he somehow thought that Europe would buy the weapons needed to equip itself because he has unilaterally terminated NATO protection from US companies. Maybe a few that you can’t get anywhere else, but the EU would be incredibly stupid to buy from a nation that is now hostile to it.

So other buyers will probably have to be found - although Russia has its own arms industry and is also on good terms with China. Moreover, unlike Trump, Putin really isn’t an idiot.

But hey, maybe the EU can negotiate a billion-euro arms deal with Russia to get better conditions for Ukraine.

It would hardly be any different from buying weapons from the US.

  • Absolutely nothing - on the contrary, they even supply the weapons with which these shameful murders are committed.

And Trump and his band of criminals are not even alone in this - my home country, Germany, is also aiding and abetting these terrible war crimes.

I simply cannot understand how a country like Israel, which is actually completely irrelevant on the world stage, not only gets away with genocide, but is even supported by many of those countries that otherwise always play the moralizer.

The only way I can explain this is that the fascist regime in Israel is taking advantage of the fact that this country is a leader in surveillance and espionage technology. Other than by blackmailing foreign state representatives, I simply cannot explain why so many countries persist in supporting all these terrible atrocities - in democratic countries even against the will of the people and at the massive expense of votes.

I’m aware that this is conspiracy theory, but I simply can’t explain it any other way because it is so incredibly absurd and shameful.

I mean, Bibi has long been the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Courts.

It is of course quite clear that no government official in the USA is interested in this, but the fact that European countries, which recognize this intuition as binding, are also thinking about how Netanyahu could be invited as a state guest without having to arrest him immediately is simply telling. And then also supplying weapons to a war criminal?

    How?

  • Yes, that’s true. I’m more concerned with whether US citizens, whose past administrations more or less invented the term, can now recognize for themselves that they are no longer on the side of the “good guys” with this administration at all, but are now the “terrorists” themselves - the very thing that past US administrations denounced (at the time, of course, already completely speciously).

Edit: Trump himself has even brought the term back to a certain extent - and he is not only the personification of evil for the governments of other countries. I just want to make it clear that it’s the same here as with almost everything he does: it’s projection - whatever he accuses others of, he and his corrupt gang are the ones doing it.

Edit 2: Please don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying this because I believe that Europe, for example, would be much better - I’m saying it because I’m from Germany and we have the history that you all know. It’s not too late to put a stop to Trump and his Nazi colleagues, but it will take civil resistance. If there is no vehement resistance, I fear that history will repeat itself. Nobody in their right mind can want that.
