81·7 months agoTo add to this, carry-ons dramatically slow the boarding process, which adds to the overall cost of the flight. Charging for carry-ons makes it easier for flights to be consistently on-time, which is why airlines prefer to have fewer of them
Turning an airplane around is not a quick process, and anything that can be done to speed that it up saves the airline time and money.
3·7 months agoIdeally you drain window units every couple of weeks, when you clean the filters. Once a year a deeper cleaning is a good idea. One where you take the cover off, clean all the built up gunk out, and then let it dry. You can use a cleaning spray specific for air conditioners, or even just water for a significant improvement.
I typically use the cheapest “no rinse” cleaning spray for air conditioners that Home Depot sells, a toothbrush, and lots of water before/after. It really extends the life of the unit, preventing the build up of mold and improving the units efficiency.
Brave Search has !bangs and an independant search index. Kagi relies heavily on it.

Yeah, from my experience I believe Kagi’s results are like 90%+ pulled from Brave’s search index. I like the concept of Kagi, but I prefer SearXNG as a search aggregator.
When the citations are on point, I like AI search. 9 times out of 10 I care enough to read the source though.
However, there are still way too many hallucinations when it comes to sources in my experience. It just wastes my time when I go to verify and find that AI just spat out garbage.
Anyone have an opinion on Perplexity compared to Brave Search?
I really value Brave having their own independent search index. Google, Bing, and Yandex have dominated the space for quite some time.
I know Perplexity claims to have a small / curated independent index, but I’m not really sure how true that is.
Ma’am, this isn’t the Fallout universe where people use caps as a currency.
Us in the real world use intangible currency backed by the nebulous “economy.” It’s value fluctuates based on vibes, and obviously nothing bad will ever happen as a result of that.
