Transitioning this account to @DudePluto@lemmy.world to help with server load

Oh that’s not too bad of a workaround, thank you so much!
I can’t even find the community I’m looking for from lemmy.world . I search for !worldbuilding@lemmy.ml and it says no results
Lemmy will have to learn to hide the sausage-maker if they want laymen to enjoy their sausage. That is to say they’ll have to make a way for the everyman to interact without the barrier to entry.
Though, no one says Lemmy has to become a AAA social media site
I don’t totally understand the fediverse yet. So an instance is basically just a portion of a website on a certain server, right? And all the instances communicate with each other to create one website?
Eh, reddit really isn’t much better in this department. It’s not uncommon for multiple subs to exist for the same userbase (r/memes vs r/dankmemes, r/christian vs r/truechristian). Over time users figure out which is which, which is the main one, and which is for them
Why does every tech bro want to replace things thay make people happy, like art
Because AI is funded and headed by corporations seeking profit. And things like art require skilled labor, which is expensive. Therefore if you can create a machine that reduces the skill required to produce something like art, you can pay the human less. Or maybe even remove the human entirely.
AI will only - can only - benefit the people if it is headed and regulated by the people and for the people. As it is, it is only a tool of the ultra wealthy, and tech bros are totally falling for the bait and switch
Gonna be honest I don’t really understand the Fediverse yet but I’m here cuz it feels cool and reddit kind of annoys me these days
I hated this one the most
