No idea at what point you talk about where the real savings actually come from, but not anywhere after that colon.

Ah yes that is the secret desaster, not fucking Trump wrecking things left and right.
If you think generals are rational professionals, you should consider reading about what kind of dumb shit they did in WW2 for various stupid reasons. There is a reason the USA has 2 air forces.
You assume the generals would disobey? What if he just replaces them? Why shouldn’t he, if they really do that? Russia has some smarter generals, they attacked Ukraine.
Assuming that others are acting rational is sadly often a bad idea. It extents to some governments too, the USA are now like Russia in this regard.
Why should a drill push that much out?
So you assume it was shot from the back? Why not front?
What is clean about them?
It is like comparing electricity use of trucks and ships to trains to make them look good/bad. They run on fuel, not electricity, that number is simply useless.
Steel, cement and chemicals, as per the article.
Those industries are not that electricity intensive, with the only real exception being the electric arc furnace, which are “only” for secondary steel production. You would need to look at the overall energy consumption, as they mostly need heat and chemical energy, not electricity.
Sounds like you have little to lose and little to win, but potentially a lot to win. So… Why not?
Big fan here, I like it.
If you think that people in the USSR were better off you might want to read about their rights (or rather lack thereof), regardless of Russia, Ukraine etc. Human rights in the Soviet Union It is absolutely crazy how little rights they had, we could easily argue that a peasant in 800 was better off in terms of his rights. If we include the planned starvation of millions, then he was also better off in such basic necessities.
What popups? Am I doing something wrong/right that I do not get those? What could you not do but now can?
How is that what you got from my comment? Monarchies failed all the time and people were miserable, like in any communist thing we had so far.
How do you feel about the other aggressive things China is doing? Like attacking boats with water cannons because they just claim an area? Or dumping sand somewhere to make an island to claim the area? Or actual fighting and deaths over territories with India?
I think we have already established your view on Taiwan, which is hardly compatible with the general population.
Because the examples where the capitalist were not in control anymore were so good for the average worker?
Replacing a system that fails in one country but essentially nowhere else on the planet, despite being dominant, with a system that failed every single time is not exactly reasonable.
How is that a reasonable approach? How would that solve anything?
If you think that is a terrible position, just think about what happens when electricity is lost for 7 days in a wide area. We are extremely dependant on technology. And that does not need to be a bad thing. Look at Ukraine, despite all of the attacks, they are still there, things still work.
