Cleaning up?

Push back would have unfortunately been performative. For decades national Democrats and their supporters have been hyperfocused on the presidency. Ceding many lower offices to Republican fascists without a fight. Democrats haven’t held a solid legislative/judicial majority in nearly 50 years. Republicans have. Which has allowed them to neuter and negate everything Democrats have tried. Which wasn’t much.

While I would have liked to have seen Obama speak out more. The fact that he would have only been speaking out with nothing being done wouldn’t have been that positive for them and cost them a lot of political Capital they could use for other things. And indeed, in 2028 if Democrats somehow managed to win the presidency again. Without having a solid control of the legislature etc. It will be the same as them not winning. They really need to start focusing on the state level heavily. And winning back areas they’ve long since given up on. Only then will they be able to do more than just bitch and whine.

Hassan has had some particularly shit takes himself. Though honestly I’m not aware of a political YouTuber that hasn’t. That said if I stumbled into a disagreement between Hassan and asmon accidentally. It doesn’t matter what day or what topic it is. I would side with Hassan long before asmon.

Asmon is the definition of a disgusting, unkempt ignorant incel armchair quarterback. Despite where Hassan and I might sometimes disagree. He is actually educated. Has some idea of what he’s talking about. And is generally out there doing the right thing. So of course it makes a lot of sense that so many people would latch on to a stupid dumbass speaking with confidence over someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. That is after all how Trump got where he is.

Yes. Which isn’t a deal-breaker. But definitely a limiter in application. Something like this or Briar would be useful for example on large marches or public protests. Though maybe not this with apparently how insecure and poorly thought out it is. Which I suppose is on brand for Dorsey.

Considering that he is only famous in very narrow circles. And even those like myself who knew of him from his wow days. Had no fucking clue he was somehow twitch’s top political streamer? I’d say those are all important things to get out there. I mean like what the fuck. What the actual fuck. There is no hope for Humanity.
