If it’s being allowed on multiple different platforms, I don’t klow what he’s complaining about.

Full release? No, that’s years away.

Lol, at some point I should probably try to get through Metro Exodus as well.
Alas, I don’t like the changes they made to the game between Last Light and Exodus.
But I already bought it and the money isn’t coming back, so might as well hope there’s a good story or something hidden somewhere in the game.

Just got a Blood Mage (Witch) to maps in PoE2. I just need one damned unique gem to tie the build together and I’m golden. Sadly, the gem isn’t easy to get and very expensive to buy. :(

The really sad part is that the studio, as is, only has Below Zero and Moonbreaker to show for. Not the best portfolio to be honest.
And with everything else going on now on top of it, I’m starting to think Subnautica will remain a one-hit-wonder.

And when it finally does drop, it’s just a slightly prettier version of GTA 5.
Why did the Black Sun have to be a nazi symbol… 😔
I had already dabbled in Linux on and off years back. I already wanted to switch, but I’m a moron at computer stuff, so Linux was always a bit out of reach. Too much to learn and memorize for the basic things I needed it for. (addendum: We’re talking about 25 years ago)
But Win 10 annoyed the piss out of me. Like, to the point of breaking my laptop in a fit of explosive anger. I’m not usually a “throw-the-controller” kind of guy. But that shit got to me.
So around the time Win 11 was first announced, I decided to give Linux yet another shot. And lo and behold, I found Mint. Everything was setup and streamlined exactly for a moron like myself. It was literally easier and more straight forward than Windows.
And with a little bit of reading and copy/pasting commands smarter people than myself have written around the internet, pretty much any problem I’ve encountered have been solved within a few minutes.
So I recommend Mint to anyone looking for alternatives to Win 11.
It has been good to me.
And a big Thank You to all the glorious nerds that take the time to not on only make this, but also take the time to help us hapless dummies fix the small problems we encounter in the process of switching.

Nah, principles > entertainment.
And as much as I loved C&C and Red Alert as a kid, it’s a bygone age thing. But I am surprised they actually made a remake. Didn’t see that coming.

If only it wasn’t EA

I didn’t hear about a C&C remake… Well, shit!

Was EA even doing anything with any of the actually good IPs they had? I haven’t heard of anything particularly interesting coming from them in a while now (ie. decades).
I dunno about the rest, but Lort means Shit in Danish.
the more you know…

I’m reminded of Dan Bulls rap on Wolfenstein. “Brought big bloody bag of guns to the party, 'cuz what’s the point in just punching a Nazi”

I think it’s a sentiment shared in most western countries nowadays and probably others as well.
We’ve grown disillusioned with political figureheads, they circular rhetoric and straight up lies.
Hell, I remember a few years ago a local news outlet published a statistic of “the most trusted professions” in my country. Suffice to say ‘Politician’ was at the bottom.
Well, it seems at least one company has admitted that only focusing on making games high-end games might have been a bit self-defeating when there’s an even bigger market with slightly older tech they could have been selling to. So there’s that.
I also remember reading somewhere that there’s just been a breakthrough in battery tech (It was probably mostly in regards to electric vehicles, but if it can be be applied to smaller devices, that’s also a good start).
Maybe there doesn’t have to be a sacrifice in battery life on the next-gen Steamdeck. It’s small stuff like this that would make me think that maybe the next gen isn’t too far in the future.
But again, what the hell do I know? I’m a PC guy. Fairly happy with my stationary setup.
The estimates I’m seeing is only 3 years. But yeah, that’s probably a bit long for OP.
As I said, I don’t know too much about handheld devices.
But with the Switch 2 having come out, I can only imagine others want to push out something new as soon as possible as well.
However Valve is known for not adhering to such thing and only launching when they have something subtantial to show for.
But I’m pretty sure a bunch of things are in the works from all the big contenders. MS, Sony, Valve and likely others as well.
Without knowing too much about handheld devices, at this point, I’d probably wait for the next generation to start coming out.
Like, the Steamdeck 2 can’t be too far off.
And although I don’t have high hopes for Xbox, they have been talking about launching their own handheld.
It was a Gold & White dress vs. Black & Blue dress.
Gold & Blue wasn’t part of the meme.
