  • It seems like there’s a problem there. They want an elected body to pass an ordinance against something another independent elected body is already under contract to do.

In my simple brain, so be it. Why not do that?

In my rational brain, having sat through at least 100 council and commission meetings, it’s not that simple and certainly could open the county to legal issues in at least three ways (flock sues county for breach of contract; sheriff sues council for overreach; pro-flock community members sue county for whatever they can think of).

To me, this is a time for the people to play politics. Schedule meetings with these council members individually. Invite them to anti-flock parties. Convince them to be on your anti flock side. If you get one, that one can work on the others from the inside.

By the way, we already have legislation against flock – it’s called the Fourth Amendment.

  • Not OP, but just a heads up to not get overwhelmed. Find the simplest instructions and start there.

Making a sourdough loaf is basically simple once you understand that you’re growing yeast from the flour and activating it (starter).

Making the best sourdough loaf is complicated as fuck, and it’s as much art/talent as it is science. This is where I suck at it.

But dont get bogged down with complicated hydration and shit at first – just find a reliable starter recipe, grow it, and then bake a lop-sided, flatter than youd like but delicious loaf of bread.

  • “Venomous Lumpsucker” by Ned Beauman was good. The writing style reminded me of Weir a bit.

“The Reformatory” by Tananarive Due was also pretty good.

Very different books from each other. Neither are completely without flaw, but both books were a solid B+.

Ive never read a bad Agatha Christie book.

My favorite book is “A Confederacy of Dunces” by John Kennedy Toole, and his novella “Neon Bible” was also very good.

“The Dog Stars” by Peter Heller was good.

“Godshot” by Chelsea Bieker was very good.

  • I would assume if an entity had my phone number they could easily connect it to me, like by spoofing it and calling themselves and getting the name off caller id or some shit, or even just subpoenaing the phone carrier for the id of the phone number. Why they would want to do that for little old fudgy mctubbs is beyond me.

I’ll say it: I dont want anybody to know what I jack off to. It’s all legal stuff, but im too prudish to have that be public.

Anonymity is impossible, but we can still attempt it.

  • Msdos on my family’s Commodore taught me my foundation of computer literacy. Then Q-Crack and editing the Duke Nukem 3D config file and sharing it with a friend so we could play over the modem together expanded my understanding and confidence. Linux paired with google searches/forums just seemed like a natural progression to me.

  • Listen, pal, your beef shouldn’t be with folks like me questioning if your “rave review” stippled with flowery adverbs is an ad. If you’re just some dude writing, then you’re just some dude writing.

Your beef should be with marketers and advertisers who for the past decade+ have dishonestly inserted their scumbag bullshit ads into social media threads pretending to be just another excited commenter/content contributor leaving rave reviews with flowery adverbs. Go be pissed at them.

Glad you like your Anbernic. I have an RG556 and two other lesser Anbernic devices. The lesser ones both stopped turning on after about a year – for no good reason. The RG556 still works 16 months after I got it. It’s fine at what it’s intended to do, but sucks as a Steam Link device.
