All Google would have to do is check what key an app is using on a user’s device and they can invalidate it. Someone made a youtube vanced 2 (not revanced)? Google can easily invalidate it for everyone using this process.

Even if I misunderstand how the key works and it’s more of a signature, it would mean that if you try to download an older app then it could fail bc the signature expired and isn’t maintained anymore. You also run into the same issue with not being renewed if Google chooses.

My point is it could effectively be a side loading killer, maybe not right away but the point of sideloading is the independence which this takes away

It definitely depends on the software, for example in matrix you can easily cause federation issues in some cases. this won’t blow up the fediverse, but it could impact the user experience if they rely on or interact with that instance.

I agree, but our justice system has clearly failed us. It’s extremely frustrating, which is why a lot of us are very emotionally charged for this issue.

Well it’s not much of an algorithm, it’s mostly about votes or comments depending on your selected filter. If you want niche things you need to subscribe to communities and engage with it.

If Nintendo always made games that didn’t need dlc or got free updates, didn’t require Nintendo online for full functionality, or had to pay a 30% platform fee, it would make much more sense for this price. I don’t believe for a second they won’t make a profit at $60 for their mainline games.

It’s definitely not solved. Even stockfish has been beaten by more advanced AIs, and there is always the possibility of making even better ones.

Also, humans can’t solve it on their own. With time constraints a human player is unable to make a “perfect” move every time.
