Yeah the UEFI requirement is likely specifically required for secureboot/TPM as well. TPM 2.0 didnt work well with legacy boot options. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Microsoft wouldn’t force those things as requirements if they didn’t think they were going to be held liable in court to provide security for their users. Sure it sucks to have it “forced” but there are worse things to complain about. Like the Microsoft account requirement. Yet once again I’m sure that’s because if you encrypt a drive and forget your password, being able to prove your identity and reset the password is preferred to them than saying the data is gone. Only so many “my wedding photos” and such are unrecoverable you want to deal with. Having a solution for a forgotten password is better than not. How is it just blamed on “the west”. China, India and other “Eastern” countries are in the UN as well. Would you not have to say it just shows they care nothing about the international community and it is really about their control and power as well? The world is watching executions around the world, and people are just being censored to/from it by their governments. Israel’s biggest trading partner is China by far, almost twice the U.S. Not any huge press from them about stopping.

Hounding someone on something they don’t agree with just makes them shut down a conversation.

Using something like that brings the bias to light without them ending the conversation. You cannot assist someone with seeing bias in media who just blocks you. While it sucks, sometimes small steps help getting you going in the right direction.

When Israel attacks housing units in a country it is in a “ceasefire” with, the media says they are “threatening the ceasefire.” If someone fires back. The media will say Israel is being attacked and the ceasefire was broken by the other party.

That was the Senate not Congress, but yes those are the numbers. The Senate holds terms 3x longer than Congress and thus do not represent their constituents as accurately. They are a not proportionatly representing the population which is why many believe they should be reformed. (1 member represent less than 600,000 people in one state, while another member represents ~19,000,000 people.). Their votes both count as 1.

So while the majority of Democrats now have an unfavorable view of Israel, where as in 2022 the majority had a favorable view, this takes much longer to get representation in the Senate. Are there representatives that vote against their constituents beliefs, sure. But when a change happens that fast it is very hard for a Representative based government to be able to move fluid enough to represent what the people want vs the payment checks coming from their campaign funders.

A dictatorship is not the answer, but we need voting systems that get accurate representation of the majority of the population much more efficiently. Unfortunately that would make us more of a democracy and the oligarchs don’t want that. Because we would vote to better the majority and shrink the wage gaps. Which inevitably makes it harder for them to control the media when they don’t have as much money to buy all of it. Making more voting go to help the people and not their pockets.

Yes support for Israel was bipartisan. With minority support of Congress to not support Israel.

Biden refused to break the law. If you want legislation to change taxes it has to go through Congress. It was 50 Republicans 2 independents and 48 Democrats for the first half and then 51 Republicans, 2 independents and 47 democrats in the second half of his administration. To fundamentally change things you either can do so legally by having majority support or illegally by overthrowing the government. Impeachment also takes at least 50% of Congress to file the articles. If Biden actually did something illegal he would have been impeached, yet while Republicans voted 50/51 against anything that mattered, they never could get all 51 of them to agree with impeachment, because Republicans were the ones who had to have agreed on EVERY piece of legislation that passed during his administration or it wouldn’t have passed. Saying he was currupt was always a publicity stunt.

That and if you remember he’s been on calls with Putin for the last few weeks. Putin hired North Koreans to help invade Ukraine. NK and Russia were worried South Korea might assist in defending Ukraine. So naturally. Trump has to start scrutinizing Korea more
