I have friends that get read as women who can’t do stuff that would be completely normal for any cis male (like going to a festival alone) because there is a real possibility of them being assaulted, murdered or at the very least getting harassed. And even if it is only one in a hundred men that would do such things it doesn’t matter if the other 99 do nothing to stop it.

There is a massive underreporting of sexual abuse against men because men get taught from childhood that having sex is always something good and that they never should show weakness. Who is it that gratulates 15 year old boys when they get raped by a female teacher?

Yeah, but it is way worse in men with the way they are socialized. Men are taught to not show emotions which results in them being worse at regulating emotions and not talking about issues with their peers since that would be seen as emasculating.

Women on the other hand are taught to discuss their emotions with their peers and to help others with that as well. And now that women are not required to be in a relationship with a man to be able to thrive in society, many men lose out on their only emotional caretaker and turn to chat bots.

There is a whole generation of men being indoctrinated right now that believe women shouldn’t have any rights. Most feminist women on Instagram that I have seen have gotten a multitude of rape and murder threats.

It is nice for you if you never noticed the rampant sexism and general hatefulness that people on the internet show against any minorities they find but I’ve seen several instances of similar exchanges as shown in this comic just in the last two weeks.
