Syncthing generally works pretty well, but every now and again it decides that it’s out of sync for no reason requiring a purge and rebuild of my shared dirs.

It’s the newer Wi-Fi chips that have issues, those for which drivers aren’t yet released. There always seems to be a year-long delay between the next gen laptops being released and the wifi drivers for them.

Depends what you mean by wall hacking I guess. Shooting through a wall should not be possible by your proposed method, and it could be expanded to prevent the player moving through walls also.

Seeing through walls though is a different matter. How does the server know if I have rendered an opaque wall or not?

Personally I see anticheat as a problem to be solved socially, not technically. Just let people vote to kick, and anyone who is generally accepted to be hacking will be kicked. No need for invasive Spyware.

About a year back I stumbled across these cool products that are a heatshrink sheath with a metal ring coated in low temp solder inside. They made all of my wire joining a million times easier. Just strip the end of two wires, push them into the sheath and blast them with a heat gun for 20 seconds until the ring contracts into a crimp and the solder flows onto the wires. Better physical and electrical connection than a crimp, with none of the futzing that comes with soldering and sheathing.

Lol, white dust is what a dry powder extinguisher is meant to spit out. Ths issue is that if the powder becomes too compacted, it won’t come out. Look up a video of a dry powder extinguisher in use to see if it’s working like it should.

However, they are more-or-less single use. If you’ve used it, even partially, you should really get it recharged or replaced.

While the consumer does bear responsibility in what theh choose to purchase, we cannot shift the blame for the entire product and it’s packaging onto them unless there are truly viable alternatives.

Put a recycling charge directly onto the manufacturer so that those with the ability to make real change are the ones bearing the cost of not doing so.

I had two jetsons that i was using for a project, had one on my desk and one in another office. I’m not sure I follow you. If the missile is using gps for guidance(during at least part of it’s flight), then it is by definition a gps quided rocket is it not?

Also, gps quidance isnt terribly expensive. I use industrial grade units which go for about 3kusd and provide sub-metre accuracy in highly gnss denied enviroments. Lower grade ~3m accuracy units go for around a hundred dollars, and would be completely sufficient for hitting a target the size of a truck.

Depending on the range at which the signals start to become jammed, it could be possible to navigate solely by IMU for the final leg also.

90% of the time, you need to build it yourself. If you’re lucky then its a simple git clone and cmake job. Often it isn’t. I once spent half a day building nested dependencies for a project i wanted to work on.

Does anyone really use youtube these days anyway? Its gone from a site where you might discover new and interesting things to a site full of clickbait trash and ads for other trash. Its gotten the point where if i see that a video i might otherwise watch is hosted on youtube, i just scroll past because I cant be bothered dealing with their site.

All cad files have a defined structure which could be interpreted. Unfortunately many cad files are proprietary and decoding them externally to the closed-source programs that create them is a massive undertaking that would get you sued

Apologies if i wasnt clear there, but the point I intended to convey was indeed that you should only use an OS that you yourself have installed, to ensure that it hasnt been shipped with any bloatware or backdoors.

Hardware manufacturers have been doing it for years with modified windows installs, and I see no reason to beleieve they aren’t trying the same thing with Linux installs.

Never trust the OS that ships with a device. Wipe it, format the disk, and pray that they don’t have a backdoor at the bios level.
