How did you discover he had it?
Really long story, made short: Reddit API was free. They decided to charge an insane amount of money for it, and gave developers almost no notice of the changes. Most 3rd party apps were forced to shut down as a result. This meant apps for people who need accessibility features, apps that moderators depended on, etc. Reddit’s official app is a dumpster fire and offered very few much needed features.
People protested. Reddit removed moderators that protested. Many users left in response. At least one major 3rd party app switched to supporting Lemmy. A lot of users followed.
Oh absolutely. It’s good to have at least one beer you can always come back to. For me that’s been the Dogfish Head Sea Quench Ale
Love Cascade. Haven’t been there, but I buy their beer out here in NJ.
I got started on sours because of them
It’s true. Especially on the east coast.
I was down in Austin not long ago. Went to Jester King. Wow, cool brewery, and really good sours
It’s true. But I also hate the flavored sours. Where they’re literally adding flavoring to beer.
I’m currently enjoying Axe & Arrow. Honestly great with actual fruit.
Coming from C++ and Java over to Python was challenging. The IDE I used at the time also did not like when I used tabs instead of spaces, which drove me up a wall.
I will say that for beginners where python is their first language, it does a good job at reinforcing good practices for writing legible code.
Sour beers are where it’s at
30 years old. US. I can and do drive a stick shift.
Really hard coming from a family with only automatic cars. Very few people have stick cars, and even fewer are willing to teach you in their own car.
Can’t even rent a stick shift to practice on. Your best bet is to sign up with a driving school that offers stock shift lessons, which I almost did.
Instead, a buddy of mine was kind enough to let me practice for 2 hours with him in a beater he had. Then I went and picked up my brand new WRX. Stalled like 12 times on the way home. But I figured it out!!
I help companies sell products on Amazon.
One sold protein powder. Product title says “25g of protein”. First bullet point says “25g of protein per serving”. Main image of the product clearly shows “25g protein” on the label. Second image makes it more clear with “25 Grams of Protein Per Serving” in big bold letters. The A+ content (images in product description) repeat this information in big bold letters as well. Both the image gallery and the A+ content showed a picture of the supplement facts panel. The top rated review for the product called out that they liked the 25g of protein per serving.
Customer messages me, “How much protein per serving? Doesn’t say anywhere on the listing.”
Rage. Instant, immediate, and intense rage.
Get your thyroid checked out. Turns out major depressive disorder can be brought on by hypothyroidism. Who knew?
I used to fly a lot. I’m at the point where I board the plane, sit, close my eyes, and wake up when we start pulling into the gate at our destination.
I don’t use a neck pillow or anything. Usually just grab a water bottle before boarding, because my mouth gets crazy dry.
As one of the people who came to Lemmy because of Sync, I’d say very dedicated fans. It was hands down the absolute best Reddit app on Android. Still feeling salty about what reddit did, so I followed Sync here.
They are notoriously bad. And they don’t get fixed. Got my Subaru and
And on the new cars Subaru made the screen narrow and tall. This effectively reduced the amount of screen space for Android Auto/car play in comparison with prior years.
Add to that the entire display is now needed for HVAC, heated seats, etc and do you really want to depend on a glitchy computer that frequently crashes?
