Demanding the PLA to go marching to Iran’s aid of course would be silly but it’s clear Iran is suffering a severe deficit in their air defense and are very much in a vulnerable position if no one steps to help them in that area at least. It’s not going to stretch the US empire all that much if they decide to simply start wrecking havoc on Iran with B2 bombers. I don’t think anyone who doesn’t already hate China is going to be upset if they start sending Iran Pakistan level military aid.

Monarchy bad, oligarchy good.

Seems like they are trying to play good cop bad cop to the Democrats and sweet talk Russia into agreeing to the same empty one sided agreements that they have in the past. Even if Trump really is genuinely pro-Russia, Russophobia still runs deep in the US and his position to push for a true 180 with Russia is fragile. While it is mostly a democrat thing, it isn’t like there isn’t any Russophobic republicans, and while a decent amount of Americans might want to stop sending money to Ukraine, few actually have a positive view of Russia.

I think that Stalin might of understandably acquired a somewhat rose tinted view of the Western allies during their cooperation in WW2, then very quickly got reminded again who they were post war with Truman’s actions, the rise of McCarthyism in the US, the sheltering and recruitment of former high ranking Nazis into NATO and so forth.

To be fair, I wouldn’t exactly expect the people you find on the hoi4 subreddit to be best humanity has to offer.

If Tibet isn’t free because it’s part of China then neither is any province, county, city, town etc. in any country ever. Guess we all ought to become anprims and do away with civilization altogether.

Living in the US feels right now feels like being in one of those slow burn crazy cult horror movies like Midsommar.

Geopolitics aside, China’s location and densely populated coastline made it an ideal commercial shipping hub whereas the USSR/Russia’s cross country logistics and sea routes are very cumbersome and awkward. China also had a massive spare labor force.

Didn’t know too much about Zizek before his debate with Jordan Peterson, and when the debate happened I immediately already saw him as somebody to disregard because I knew that big mainstream media would never permit somebody that based into their spotlight.
Dear Charlie Kirk, you claimed to a be a patriotic American, yet made another American dislike you enough that they shot you. Curious…
