Linux mint is another really good windows refugee friendly distro. And if you want a gaming COVID one then bazzite is the one to go for (it’s basically steam OS, but there’s a full fledged desktop version too)
An just 30-something Software Dev that enjoys gaming, woodworking, electronics and plenty of other hobbies. Too many hobbies.

Another comment explained what it is but to explain where the name comes from, you remember those capsule machines where you had to collect all the toys? Those were called gachapon machines, often shortened to just gacha (i might be slightly wrong on a little bit of the words, but they are the capsule machines)
For games and other media that gets “released”. Cancelled is usually the term that gets used if it doesn’t come out.
A film that is no longer in the cinema doesn’t get said it was cancelled for example.
For games that cease to be playable after release they are more often described as being shut down or being sunset. Like I’ve never read about an ongoing game being cancelled unless they were specifically talking about an originally upcoming piece of dlc or content being cancelled.
Shut down is the correct term. A cancelled game is a game that never released. No need to muddy that definition.
Yeah it was out for a year or two and went free to play for another before being shut down
Star wars 1313 was THE game I was waiting for. Got very sad when it got cancelled.
Also all of the in-progress and for some completed content that just got shelved for Disney infinity because the new management at Disney forgot why games mattered. (Same time when they absolutely gutted lucasarts). Just for them to start from scratch again a few years later when they realised they still need a videogame presence. Which makes the losses of what could have been hurt more.
That game came out. I still miss it though, but it isn’t a cancelled game.
Still keep hoping for a private server. That game ruined other mmos for me.
I thought that game came out?
That’s not cancelled, that’s just a game that was taken down.
There’s a bunch of private servers for it too. My first experience is the game was through one of them and it was pretty great.
I think a lot of it is to get and propogate misinformation because some people won’t hear about the 180s and still talk about as if they happened
I don’t want to pay now then £200 for a phone and i want a small one.
Except after the second question it makes generic assumptions and responds immediately from data it’s hallucinated rather than backed up with facts, despite telling it to do so or having had explicitly shared with it the full context beforehand.
Yeah I’m not against patents in general because it’s meant to allow the company or individual a chance to be only one on the market so they can recoup rnd costs instead of someone else coming in and undercutting them immediately.
The issue is they last too long. Especially idea ones like this for software. 5 years is what it should be around about.
You can describe it as umami
Ah duck this, I’m fucking out of this one
The whole base design philosophy other than it being a mario themed kart racer is completely different this time. You’ve not even looked up a thing about this game have you?
Have you actually looked at what this new one entails?
Issue with healthcare IT is they cannot just upgrade willy nilly. They have to make sure that whatever computer they’re changing isn’t responsible for something big and they have to make sure everyone who uses it can use it. You still have some critical system PCs in hospitals that run DOS and sometimes even older.
