One of my most surreal gaming experiences was playing helldivers with a player I didn’t know. They said they liked the game because it “wasn’t political”. I was just fucking flabbergasted.

I tried the swedish fish Oreo once and can accurately say they are an offense to God and man.

I really want to know what was going on in the head of the first person to eat yogurt. “Hey mark, you know that milk we were trying to turn into cheese? Well it’s not milk anymore, and it’s not cheese either. I’m going to try it with some berries or something.”

Nah man, that’s not the purpose of unrestrained capitalism. The point is to get big enough that you can buy out all the competition, then make your product cheaper and cheaper once there’s no one to compete against. It’s a bit like an economical algae bloom.

I feel like borderlands 1 was boring but had some high points, but the dlc really started to capture what the series would become. The general Knox dlc is still one of my favorites.

Man, I really enjoyed Hyperion, but the rest of the series kind of lost me. It also doesn’t help that Simmons is an actual nut case.

LinkedIn is one of the least sane social media sites I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Under all the marketing BS and obviously fake feel good stories lie takes that would make your insane Facebook uncle blush.

That is a remarkably shitty argument. “Sure, I know the system is wrong and only hurts people, but it’s the system! You can’t just go and reform systems so they stop hurting people! Think of the investment bankers!”

We can and should change things, and part of that is helping the people who have been hurt by the system.

In what other situation would we be okay with allowing an 18 year old with no income to take out tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt? The system is purpose built to fuck over the better part of two generations of people.

You never know, there could be Hamas tunnels under that cultural fabric.

Ooh boy, a whole 300 liters, or approximately a single 80 gallon drum. What an impressive act of charity from the country actively bombing that same hospital.

All 200 liters they left outside in an active warzone? Yep, that would be super helpful. Might even keep the generators going for 10 more minutes.

At its root it’s actually pretty simple. If it involves killing children, do not do it. If you’d like we can get into the more in depth discussion of slowly forcing more and more people into a terrible situation and how that drives them into the arms of Hamas, but at its root, don’t shoot kids.
