What if I told you that I trained my brain on copyrighted materials that I pirated from the Internet? I make games and I have for sure downloaded games I didn’t pay for and played them. I know I have used some of the mechanics from those games on my own. Am I a bad person?

Well, this image isn’t being used commercially so no one is making money off of it. I think that seems like a fair use of AI. Similar to how people make memes with images they stole from the Internet

That’s not been my experience with it. I’m a software engineer and when I ask it stuff it usually gives plausible answers but there is always something wrong. For example it will recommend old outdated libraries or patterns that look like they would work but when you try them out you figure out they are setup differently now or didn’t even exist.

I have been using windsurf to code recently and I’m liking that but it makes some weird choices sometimes and it is way too eager to code so it spits out a ton of code you need to review. It would be easy to get it to generate a bunch of spaghetti code that works mostly that’s not maintainable by a person out of the box.

It would be easier if they didn’t buy other products I already used. I hate that shit so much. I wish companies were all banned from buying other companies. A company should be one thing, not own all the things. It’s hard to choose who you do business with in our country because of this. Even if we all drop these apps today and move to something else they will try to buy that too.

He can just hire h1bs since they think they are so much better than American workers. Why does he care?
