The problem is that you don’t own the right to use your own device the way you see fit, and are instead locked into systems you can’t escape from.
You should be able to freely install the software you like, be that an OS, a third party app or even your own program, and you should be able to use all the features of your devices, freely, without being locked out due to the app or accessory not being first party.
the manufacturer of the chip making machine is based in the EU therefore no one can pull out
This has nothing to do with anything, really. It’s not like, because I don’t sell in the US I can’t use American made steel or something.
The actual reason why Apple, and every other company, doesn’t want to leave the EU (China for that matter) despite increasingly stringent regulations, it’s because the EU represents a huge portion of their revenue and leaving would mean losing billions upon billions, all in the hopes of saving millions.
It’s not only about copying or distribution, but also use and reproduction. I can buy a legit DVD and play it in my own home and all is fine. Then I play it on my bar’s tv, in front of 100 people, and now it’s illegal. I can listen to a song however many times I want, but I can’t use it for anything other than private listening. In theory you should pay even if you want to make a video montage to show at your wedding.
Right now most licenses for copyrighted material specify that you use said material only for personal consumption. To use it for profit you need a special license
Copyrighted material can be used or reproduced only with a license that allows for it. If the license forbids you from using the copyrighted material for business purposes, and you do it anyway, then it’s pirating.
If anomalies are detected, it tells your insurance company so they can increase your rates or drop you before you actually need to go to the hospital and cost them any money.

Opera mini was also great when I had very little MBs of internet traffic in my plan. Nowadays I have pretty much infinite traffic, so I haven’t used it in ages

There might be one party looking from the outside, but on the inside there are many currents, and as soon as there’s a power vacuum, those currents will infight to gain power.

Thing is, we don’t really know what’s the reason for the current worldwide trend in much, much lower natality rate. We’ve observed in rich countries and poor countries, religious and atheist countries, capitalist and communist countries (both USSR and PRC, who have had very different economic systems), in countries with no safety nets but also in countries with large social programs, in western countries, but also in eastern countries.
The only thing I can think of these days is education level. Is it possible that education is inversely correlated with natality rates? Or maybe women in the workforce. I’m not arguing for either point, I’m just thinking about what the cause of a world-wide issue might be, because it’s happening everywhere and seemingly without any clear common cause.

It’s not that they will run out of people. They have people, but to keep recruitment levels so high and equipment manufacturing so high they are overcharging their economy. Right now in Russia there are three types of jobs if you want to make money afaik, work in the military complex (arms manufacturing), in the gas extraction industry or directly in the military.
It’s Dutch disease x100, if the state at some point stops being able to fund the war machine, their economy collapses.
A fediverse app to empower coops and smaller taxi companies and allow them to reach users could actually be a pretty good idea and a great way to reduce Uber’s power

Arabia went from being under Ottoman rule to being under the house of Al Saud, it’s never been colonized by a western “liberal” country.
Their rules are still insane.

Once upon a time Coca cola used to sell coke in glass bottles that you would then give back to them, they’d wash them, sanitize them and sell them again. You’d pay a small deposit on the bottle that they’d then give back to you. They had bottling centers all over the place.
They switched to plastic bottles because it was much cheaper to let the government handle the garbage problem
So you just make pasta with bechamel and parmigiano and drink caffè macchiato. You’re fine, really.
Aside from the fact that, imo, there are better sauces for your pasta, you are not doing anything egregious, plus you can call Alfredo whatever you want. Nobody knows what it means anyway.
PS: coffee made with a moka pot in Italy is just called coffee. Espresso is made with an espresso machine that works at high pressure.
Original Alfredo is pretty much an American invention. There is a restaurant in Rome that makes “pasta al burro e parmigiano” but that’s pretty much it. Americans took the dish, put cream and shit in it and gave it that name. They can keep it imo.
In Italy pasta Alfredo is more of a meme than anything else, and “pasta al burro” is made pretty much only when you are sick.

Wait, is Microsoft using Google’s copyrighted work on their page without authorization? This is going to get pulled so fast they’re gonna get whiplash.

Ever heard of the internet bubble?
Here goes to hoping that EU massages Whatsapp third party compatibility actually works. It would be great if Signal decided to enter the program, so that I could start recommending it to friends and family as a full on replacement, while not losing the ability to communicate with those who use WhatsApp.
I understand Signal stance, but it would honestly be better to have a mainstream alternative to Whatsapp that actually cares about privacy, rather than a niche product nobody uses
