Go for it!
I generated it in KeePass for this comment and actually interestingly it looks like Lemmy butchered/sanitized/modified it as well

If the server won’t take a 64-char pw with letters, numbers, and symbols then is it even worth using?

Dang autocorrect.

Fox: What a beautiful day. Shit it’s good to be alive
Ok but the return capsule kinda rides on fire when it re-enters the atmosphere
When I was a kid we used to collect “sea glass”
It wasn’t until later that I learned it was just trash that looked pretty because it had been there a while
It’s a proven fact that we need no more than 3 colors
I use Tailscale (or the fully-self-hosted Headscale) to ensure all my data is routed through my home whether my phone/laptop is on cell data, public wifi, or otherwise.
One can also simply use it to ensure communication between specific devices is always secure and available but I also find it quite useful as a way to secure all my data when away from home.
It’s free for 5 users/100 devices per account with virtually all of the features available to the free plan.
There is also a paid option which should really only be interesting to businesses/etc which have many users to connect. Alternatively self-host g Headspace has no restrictions at all.
Sure, sure. But they’ve probably been doing it for a while now.
I feel bad for the person who’s come to expect them and isn’t going to get their XXL turds today.
They are going to be very disappointed when they read that sign
I agree with that other reply.
Linus knew just enough to be dangerous.
My experience with most Windows users and their first encounter with using a Linux terminal is every single warning/error they see no matter how mundane is a big deal.
Things like the boot text or a random apt
install on Linux will often display various warnings or even “errors” that are really of no concern but ime tend to freak out new users.
Linus is in that narrow band where he doesn’t really know shit but knows just enough to be falsely confident and ignore all the warnings/errors instead of just the irrelevant ones
It’s been towed out of the environment
It’s the American Dream
Excellent choice of “testament” at the end there!
I also enjoyed this line:

My friend burned through his finger with a welding torch. He said he didn’t feel anything until he took the glove off and saw the carnage.
I don’t think this is Lemmy’s fault.
All they did was use the more secure SHA256 algorithm.
AFAIK this issue is the result of 2FA apps not properly setting the algorithm as specified (or in some cases not even supporting it)
On the rare occasion I need that, I just run KeePassDX Portable from a flash drive.
But really it’s a bit risky to use any password manager on a device you don’t control.
At least my KeePass database is secured with my YubiKey so it’s not likely anyone will get in if they do stumble onto my DB file.
The blending will continue until morale improves
