I use Kubuntu. I like the KDE desktop and I like a Debian based OS. If someone is going to make their software for Linux, it will almost certainly be available at least for Debian. If, say you want it for Arch, you need to wait for someone to put it in the AUR or build it yourself.
People won’t care until negative things start effecting them. Even at that point, many will still deny negative things are happening or they will put the blame somewhere else. This is why I believe things are going to have to get bad, really bad, before they can turn around. The biggest thing to go bad would be the economy. An economy so bad would be hard to deny and live with. Unfortunately, the more money you have, the longer you can “deal with” a bad economy, and still think everything is okay.
So often, the thing that is easy to measure is seen as important. In this case, the amount said is easy to measure. The quality of what is said is not easy to measure, but more important.
I have the same problem with Jerboa, yet if I accesses Lemmy through a web page, my account is fine. I installed Eternity on the phone and my Lemmy account has no problems on that app. Another data point that this is probably a Jerboa issue.
Even though I am sure I didn’t get all the imagery, I did enjoy it enough to watch the entire video. I did pick up on some of the anti-vax stuff and did not like that.

So what is the general approach that people use to go back to see if more comments are added?
For the old Reddit interface (that you can still go back to), between the post and the comments towards the right is a button labeled “subscribe”. Pressing that gives a popup saying “You are now subscribed … for 7 days …”.
During the next 7 days, if any new comments come in, you are notified about them.
If you go to “Your Dashboard” and then the “My Subscriptions” you can see your subscriptions and renew them (for more days or unsubscribe.)
You can use Joplin without any cloud sync at all and the notes just stay on your one device.
Joplin https://joplinapp.org/ It is a free an open source note taking app similar to Evernote. You can keep your data on a cloud service (such as Dropbox) to keep your notes in sync between Android, Windows, Linux and IOS or you can pay for Joplin Cloud storage.
The only way to know if a Black Friday price is good is to know the usual “regular” price of the item. That takes planning to jot the price down a month or more in advance and then wait to see what the Black Friday price is. It’s all a game.
The add-on Cookie AutoDelete allows way more flexibility with cookies including white listing cookies. Example: you could have all cookies deleted but not the ones on your whitelist. It has many other options for controlling cookies.
The people with money will spend to develop better AI and use that AI to make more money. Thus capitalism will keep growing.
They are both rolling releases. Rhino is based on Ubuntu and BlendOS is based on Arch. The difference is that Blend OS lets you install software from supported distributions (Arch, Fedora, and Ubuntu) into containers. Rhino (as far as I know) out of the box doesn’t do that.
Can’t wait for Kubuntu to get it!
I believe you can do this (and more) with Blend OS https://blendos.co/
