This is the one I’ve gotten two of for kids playroom and bedroom… They work great, old school simple tech.

I will add that you can also still get Westinghouse dumb TVs with included DVD player and USB video player, 3x HDMI and a tuner, but 1080p and Max 36"

They do, but they much more expensive than a smart TV, even though they have less components… Because a Smart TV is sold for less because its providing the vendor access to you as a product to all of their 3rd party partners.

They are called monitors, and yeah expensive but then you don’t get a “Smart TV” with tracking and bullshit.
Spatchcocked is the way. Next time put that on top of a deep cast iron pan full of dressing or roasted veg.

OG SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog, the dark one where his family and friends have been roboticized.

This. It burns too much electricity, wastes too much water and is wrong 70% of the time. Even if its private and offline the problems with it go waaaaay beyond that.

2011, contracting for a web marketing agency I came across a tool they used that aggregated data from Market, Salesforce and data brokers.
You could put someone’s email in, and it would tell you every bit of info they ever filled out on a form for a sale or a freebie.
Name and address were often there, sometimes DoB, sometimes other PID, then there was shopping habits and history etc.
It was creepy as fuck. I dropped Facebook and twitter at the time. And I never filled a form or answered any questions at a till again. Then I started blocking trackers.

Would be awesome to create an offlined ZIM archive with this like they did with FreeCodeCamp so you can use on your local device with Kiwix.

And then you added 1, right?
…right?

Red Dwarf did this in an Episode as well where the new AI decides he’s not crew and no longer has a subscription to air.

Yep, French’s
This is me, though I figured out a while ago it’s better if I just ignore Daylight Savings.
My inner clock doesn’t “switch”. There’s no change. There’s just half the year where I’m up an hour earlier and forcing myself to bed earlier and it completely fucks my energy cycle.

Inflation has made the hospitality industry mad run from 2000-2020 die and it will go back to what it was in the 80s and 90s when people had less money like they do now. It was a good run but unless you have a middle class with money to spend, no one can afford to support so many restaurants.

This is what CB Radios are, and many more people used to have them before cell phones.
People in mountainous areas where a cell phone is useless still do.

These days firing employees when turning a profit is what makes the stock go up.
Use DKMS drivers. They rebuild for the latest kernel as its upgraded. Using precompiled libs is a problem as many vendors dont keep up with the kernel.
Also, consider an OS that isn’t just a Ubuntu variant. Broken kernel upgrades are a thing of the past since our house dumped Ubuntu based distros.
I highly encourage avoiding Shop(ify) as the owner is trying to start a Project 2025 mimic project in Canada.
