2 years agoI think Nexus should be able to ultimately decide what they do/don’t host on their platform. Regardless what it is. They have many mods that aren’t my taste. I don’t install them.

No, I played it at release and was HOOKED. I remember clearing a 3 day holiday weekend so I could play through the whole thing (for the second or third time) in one sitting.
I had somehow missed that a HD remaster was released a couple years ago, so I gave it a shot and got sucked right back in. Still a fantastic game, even if the cut scenes and voice acting are a little dated.
For anyone who hasn’t played it, it’s abandonware now.

Still on a space game kick. Finished up Freelancer and started playing No Man’s Sky’s recent “Voyagers” expedition. It’s still got over a month left so I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t played the game in a while. Just to see whats new; It’s come a long way.
And picked up Hardspace: Shipbreaker on sale for when NMS starts getting monotonous.

95% of VCR repair is changing belts and cleaning heads/pinch rollers. I should hit up my local library. Those are the causes I like donating my time to.
I put my change in a jar when I empty my pockets. About once a year I’ll take it by the bank and treat myself with the couple hundred dollars it cashes out to.

I guess I’ll be the oddball that pays mostly in cash. Mostly because I’m self employed and taking cash to the bank across town is one more errand to run. So I’ll pay with cash in person until it’s gone and then switch to card. Also saves the 3-4% card markup a lot of places charge here. I’m in the US.
I’ve been hoping Everspace 2 turns out to be a worthy successor. The first one was fun but didn’t scratch the Freelancer itch. I haven’t played the second yet.
I just recently learned there was a HD remake for Freelancer. So I’ve been taking a nostalgia trip all weekend. Still such a good game. And free/abandonware now!

Mediocre successors?
Oh I’m sure it’s some form of lactose intolerance. I should probably ask a doctor some day, but decent ones are hard to come by.
Lactase does seem to work if I remember to take it.
My brain says yes but my bowels say no.
Brain still wins every time. I can handle some discomfort in the future for a mouth full of bliss right now.
I liked on Postal where if you saved too often it would announce “My grandmother could beat the game if she saved as much as you do”
Reading is overrated. I’d feed it to an AI so I could have somewhere to ask questions.
I think it’s the one area I’m a Luddite. I really should use voice commands on my smart home stuff because the apps are trash. But it still feels weird. Silly mental block.
Voice commands on anything. It just feels silly.
With the assets already there, the mod opportunities are endless.
